As usual I have already marked some things I just MUST to have! I thought I would share my Top Ten favorite new Stampin’ Up! products here so you can get see what I will be using in upcoming projects.

  1. In Colors 2017- 2019 (p.184)
To be honest, when I first saw these latest In Colours. I wasn’t completely sold. I decided I would not going to invest in too much cardstock.  So I only got the In Colour assortment pack – just so I had a small amount to share them with you.  Well… when they arrived they looked so much better in Real life! I was smitten!  I ordered more immediately. In the book, Lemon Lime Twist looks “sickly”; in person it’s AWESOME!!! Some might even say delicious. It’s fresh tangy and a little bit retro.  The Berry Burst makes me want to indulge in Berry Smoothies… ok let’s be honest it really makes me crave Berry Cocktails… but I didn’t want to sound like a lush.   Tranquil Tide is one of those colours you just HAVE to see in person – for me it’s relaxing and, dare I say, tranquil. Powder Pink is soft and feminine and makes everything work together like magic. The Fresh Fig has almost a velvety luxurious quality about it.  This modern colour is reminiscent of the fabulous Art Deco era.  Remember the saying “Do NOT judge a book by it’s cover” – it definitely applies to these In Colours!
  2. The new Embossing Paste (page 201)
Oh My Goodness! This stuff is absolutely awesome!!!!  For a mixed media fan and someone who loves texture, this, is the answer to my prayers, well some of them!  It is texture made easy.  You can use it plain for a white texture, sponge or spritz it with colour later or even mix a few drops of Classic Stampin’ Ink with the paste to have a customised colour.   It’s designed so it can be used with a decorative mask but I can see myself randomly smearing on my projects to create sand, bark or other random textures.  I can’t wait to play with it more!
  3. Very Vanilla Thick Card Stock (p. 194)
SOMEONE was listening when I wished upon that star earlier in the year!  If you haven’t yet experienced the joy and versatility of Thick White Card Stock (and what are you waiting for?) Please do yourself a huge favour and order one package of the white and the new vanilla. This firm card stock is great for card bases as it doesn’t curve or loose its strength.  It colours like a DREAM! It cuts and punches easily, and did I mention it colours like a BEAUTIFULLY.  If you buy nothing else buy this!
  4. Glossy Card Stock (p. 194)
Woo Hoo! It’s back!!!!  It’s been gone too long.  Glossy card stock is a must for so many fun techniques.  I can’t wait to share these techniques. You will be astounded  when you see some of the cool ways to use Glossy Card Stock!
  5. Ribbons

EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM! (p. 198) – Okay… “Hi, I’m Chrissy and I am obsessed with ribbon and trim…” I ADORE the way ribbons and trims transform projects. This  double paged spread, is Ribbon paradise for any ribbon lover. Yes people like me. I actually sat down with my calculator and tried to decide if I could justify getting every single one. (Still working on my justification).  The new Copper Trim…sigh… it is so cool.  You can even fray it so it looks like netting.  The Double Stitched ribbon is will be getting a big work out in my studio – it is so cute. The Shimmer Ribbon is goose bump inducing it’s so pretty.  I’m told the Classic Weave Ribbon is beautiful to tie. Then there’s the mini sequins, the metallic edge ribbon and the fabulous In Colour finely woven ribbon… okay…I will stop there but did I mention that “I WANT THEM ALL!”?

  6. All of the Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folders (p. 211)

There are THREE new designs joining the collection.  If you thought the Hexagons and Cable Knit designs were fabulous, you’ll love the texture the Layered Leaves, Ruffled and Pinewood Planks are going to give your project. SO MUCH TEXTURE SO LITTLE EFFORT.  If you’ve ever been to one of my classes, you will know that I talk about how adding texture improves almost any project. These are a bargain at $16-$17 each, especially when you see the endless creative possibilities they offer.

  7. Happy Birthday Gorgeous Bundle (p. 77)
This morning when I glanced at my stamp shelf I realised that I LOVE birthday sets.  I have more than quite a few of them! This one takes the cake (see what I did there?).  What’s exciting is that Stampin’ Up! has paired this large Happy Birthday greeting die with a really versatile stamp set. The naming the stamp set “Happy Birthday Gorgeous” is a little deceiving as it contains heaps of other greetings. It combines two fresh new fonts.  This stamp set has just enough other images and words that it might become my “go-to” set.  Did I mention  it also coordinates with the Balloon Bouquet  and Classic label punches?  If you are searching for a new birthday set– this one’s for you – It’s got it all!
  8. Daisy Punch (p. 206)
Well, this punch is on backorder ALREADY!  That stinks. But WHY is it on backorder? 7,200 of these punches were sold in two weeks because it can be used on just about any type of card!  That’s over a year’s supply gone in in two weeks.  How Phenomenal is that?!?!  Seriously, as much I love my framelits and thinlits, I love my punches!  Punches are quick and easy to use.  I will keep a close eye on this item’s availability and let you know when it is ready order again.  You will definitely want to set aside a whole day to play with this one when it arrives!
  9. Label Me Pretty Bundle (p. 27)
You might think this doesn’t look like something that belongs on a Top Ten but when you take second glance,  look at how the stamps even without the coordinating punch are really sweet and fill some greeting “gaps”.  The beautiful shape from the punch is perfect for instant tags, card elements and packaging embellishments!
  10. Love today planner kit! (p13) (and refills)
I don’t know about you but I’m a bit of a slave to my planner.  Without it I am lost.  Sure I have things in my phone but I always go to my physical planner first.  I have scribbled in (or scrawled as some might call it), doodled, stamped,  and decorated my old planner to the point it is overflowing.  I am so excited that I’ll be starting the new financial year on 1st July with a brand new fully customisable in inclusive Stampin’ Up! planner.    I’ve already thought of ways to use my bow and circle tab punches (p207) and envelope punch board (p204) to decorate it.
