Stampin’ Up! Colours are Evolving!
The spice of life is variety, and that’s especially true in the world of colour. Stampin’ Up! makes a point to keep an eye on colour trends across different markets and industries. When Stampin’ Up! sees changes happening, they review their colour spectrum to ensure that Stampin’ Up! remains consistently on top of the trends. This brings us to the 2018 Colour Revamp!In order to keep bringing you the most current and on trend colours, Stampin’ Up! decided it was time to give their colour collections a makeover.
What better time for a new look than the year you turn 30?
With this revamp, you’ll not only have new products but also have a new variety of shades that will inspire creativity and allow you to explore more sides of your crafting. Read on for more information!
The Details
There are still four colour collections, each with ten colours. There is also a new colour group called Basics.In order to keep Stampin’ Up! colour collections to exclusive Stampin’ Up! colours, Stampin’ Up! moved Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Whisper White out of the Neutrals collection. They’ve also moved a few colours into the Neutrals collection, making it more exciting and colourful! Some additional colours have changed collections as well—You can refer to the old and new colour charts in the 2018-2019 catalogue when it is released in June. These changes were based on needing to maintain colour balance in Stampin’ Up!’s updated collections.
In Colours
There are no changes to the In Color program. Every two years Stampin’ Up! will continue to introduce five new In Colors that will be available for the ensuing two years. Some previous In Colors that are returning and joining our core colours… more on this later! I can’t spoil ALL the surprises! It would be mean to share them with you when you can’t order them yet!
Retiring Colours
On 31 May 2018, thirteen colours are retiring.

- Soft Sky
- Tangerine Tango
- Tempting Turquoise
- Wild Wasabi

The retiring 2016-2018 In Colors are:
- Dapper Denim
- Emerald Envy
- Flirty Flamingo*
- Peekaboo Peach
- Sweet Sugar Plum
*Please note that while Flirty Flamingo is retiring as an In Color, it will continue to be available as part of our core colour collection.
More Retiring Colours Product Information
Whenever colours are retired, there is always some confusion about the status of various products in those colours. Stampin’ Up! wanted to be sure that you have a chance to buy retiring ink pads and refills before they are gone. They worked with vendors to ensure that they have a period of guaranteed stock before the retirement date. This means that even if an ink pad/refill goes on backorder during that guaranteed time, your backorder will be filled. However, after that guarantee date has passed, those products in retiring colours are available while supplies last.

So what does this mean for you?
So it means two things:
- Come 1st June 2018, you well have some fabulous new and returning colours to play with.
- If you want any of the retiring colours or a color caddy order them ASAP! You don’t want to miss out.
