Happy Tuesday! It’s time for a Tuesday Tip!
Have you ever stamped an image or sentiment and then not used it? What about die cut an extra image? Or am I the only one? Of course I’m not! I’m sure you have quite a few extra images on your craft table even as you read this… come on you can tell me…
This brings us to the question how do you store these extras?
If you’re anything like me, you would have tried keeping them in a pretty jar or a zip lock bag. Perhaps you’ve clipped them to a notice board. Maybe they are just scattered over your desk or shoved in a box. You may have even purchased a binder to keep them tidy and ended up forgetting you had extra stamped images… Yes I’ve done them all.
If makes sense to store the extra images and die cuts with the stamp set. I tried this but every time I would open or close the stamp set box, the image fell out, bent, curled or just simply got ruined. I tried to keep them in a ziplock bag in the stamp box, but the stamp box wouldn’t close because the zip closure kept sticking out.
I’m sure you can totally relate and share my pain!
Then as I was flicking through the catalogue looking for the clear envelopes the solution appeared. It was truly a light bulb moment.
I used C6 clear envelopes ALL THE TIME, but only for their intended purpose of sending cards. It was time to think outside the box! So basically I grabbed one of the clear envelopes, sealed it up then cut it half with my Stampin’ Trimmer to make two pockets measuring 7.3cm x 11.1cm. Then it was time to grab my tear & tape adhesive, put four strips on edge edge of the pocket and stick it to the the inside cover of my stamp box (with the opening to the top). Volia! A clear pocket to store my extra stamped images and die cuts with the stamp set. No more mess! The images are protected and stored with the stamp set. WINNING!
How easy was that?
The simplest ideas are often the easiest solution. Here’s a quick recap of what you need: 6 clear envelopes, Stampin’ Trimmer tear & tape adhesive. Click the pictures below to go to our online Stampin’ Up! store.
