Are your Christmas gifts organised?

Christmas is only 20 sleeps away…

If you are anything like my husband, you probably haven’t even thought about Christmas yet. Traditionally he shops for his gifts on Christmas Eve. (it drives me nuts! But I love him anyway!)

This year to save you (me) from tears...”, I put together some suggestions for special gifts that your crafty or organised family members will love! (Yes…I was singing Wham’s Last Christmas when I wrote this…)

For the absolute beginner…

If your loved one is just starting out in the world of paper craft, there are a few basics they will need that will make their life easier. These will get them through almost any beginner or intermediate card making or scrap booking class.

Gift 1 – the basics

Stampin' Up!'s red distressed card tins are not just for cards. It's the perfect size for a basic crafting tool kit. Or fill it with Christmas Cookies or Candy. Use it for packaging those hard to wrap gifts. It is a must have item in our 12 Gifts of Christmas recommendations. Find out more at www.TheCreativeEclectic.com

Of course you will want to give them something to carry this kit in – a cute pencil would suffice or to make it extra special you could package it in one of the gorgeous red distressed card tins from Stampin’ Up

How cute is that?

All you’ll need is pop the basics in the tin, add a ribbon and a tag and you can give it exactly as it is!

No extra wrapping needed!

Gifts for the casual crafter

What do you get someone who goes to classes or only creates sometimes?

Or perhaps you are buying for a grey nomad or some one who has very little storage space. Maybe they are time poor!

For the person who doesn’t have many tools, stamps or inks, Stampin’ Up!’s all inclusive kits are the perfect gift. They contain everything needed to create beautiful cards that will be cherished.  There is no cutting required – everything is prepared!

Here are three card all inclusive kit options from the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue that come beautifully packaged.

Gifts 2, 3, 4 – All inclusive kits

Love these kits as they contain pre-cut and scored note cards and embellishments, a stamp set, envelopes, ink and even a clear block. They take up no room at all.

Just add a ribbon and a tag to finish the wrapping and Christmas is sorted!

Gifts for those who need help stamping.

So many times, I’ve seen people give away stamping because their hands refuse to cooperate and they get frustrated that they can’t stamp clear crisp images like they used to.

I totally get it! Some days when I stamp using a wood-mount stamp or acrylic block, I throw out more images than use  as my hands do not work the way they should. Sometimes my hands shake so badly that I drop the stamp on the perfect image and it’s ruined.  Other days, my hands don’t have the strength to hold the block let alone stamp using an even pressure to get a beautiful image.   (Oh! The joys of have chronic health issues!) And then there are the days that I’m just clumsy!   Everyone has days like that, don’t they?

All I can say is “thank goodness for my Stamparatus!” It is a life saver!

Although the Stamparatus is designed for multiple and “two step” stamping it is perfect for anyone one who struggles with arthritis, Parkinson’s, Fibromyalgia or just has trouble getting their hands to work sometimes.

This leads us to gifts numbers 6 & 7… If  they’ve got a Stamparatus, the new Stamparatus Bag (coming on 5th December) and Stamparatus accessories pack are the perfect gift.

Here’s the video about the accessories.

Gift no 8 –  for those who create at home…

Every paper crafter loves tools, whether they craft every day or every so often.

And it doesn’t matter doesn’t matter if you are a card maker, a scrapbooker or a mixed media artist, owning a good paper trimmer is essential. This Stampin’ Trimmer is perfect for cutting and scoring card stock to enable crisp clean folds…   Don’t forget the replacement cutting and scoring blades

Gifts for the photographer, family history enthusiast or keeper of memories

It’s the little details that you remember from the best days in your life and it’s so important to celebrate them. Photographers know this all too well but sadly many photos never get printed.  If you are buying for someone who takes lots of photos to document their family’s stories, memories or history, give them an album and supplies to enable them preserve and present them beautifully and simply.

Gift suggestion no 9, the Delightfully Detailed Memories & More Album Supplies Set has everything they need to share their story!

It includes Journal Pens, a Kraft 6″ x 8″ (15.2 x 20.3 cm) album,  Variety Pack of 6″ x 8″ (15.2 x 20.3 cm) Photo Pocket Pages and a Delightfully Detailed Memories & More Card Pack.

The Tenth Gift of Christmas…

Gift 10 is just for the crafter who is fast becoming a craft-a-holic… Say hello to your crafty friend—the Big Shot. It’s a manual, multipurpose die-cutting system that enables die-cut or embossed shapes, envelopes, tags, and 3D items to be created quickly and easily. It’s
* Portable; no electricity required
* Includes Standard Cutting Pads and Multipurpose Platform
* Cuts a variety of materials depending on the die used

Stampin’ Up! offers a huge array of dies and accessories to make your crafting fun and easy.

Many paper crafters and quilters say the big shot is their favourite tool ever!  It is definitely one of mine! See for yourself!

As you can see it can make your favourite crafter’s life so much easier.  I can tell you that “fussy cutting” around stamped images can be tedious and time consuming. Anything that makes crafting easier and more enjoyable is always welcome.

Of course if your crafter already owns a Big Shot, they will always welcome Big Shot Accessories, dies and embossing folders.  In the Stampin’ Up! 2018-2019 annual catalogue alone, there are 71 framelits or thinlits dies and 25 embossing folders that can be used with their die cutting machine.  I haven’t even counted the dies or embossing folders in the Holiday Catalogue or on the clearance rack.

The 11th gift of Christmas… something practical for their stocking

Stampers invest their hard earned money in good quality rubber and photopolymer stamps.  A lot of emotion goes into buying stamps too… Generally stampers buy a stamp because they love it at first sight or they love a project they’ve seen made with it.

Sadly, many crafters don’t know how to care for their investment (stamps) properly. There are so many videos where people use baby wipes to clean their precious stamps.  It’s horrifying. The alcohol from the baby wipes can dry out, crack and damage beautiful stamps.   You can help with two simple solutions to protect your crafter’s financial and emotional investment that wont you cost the earth.

Simply Shammy is a must for photopolymer stamps and the stamparatus.  Just add water and clean up is effortless.  No lint or chemicals – just clean!  It is a perfect stocking stuffer cause you can roll it up or lie it flat.  Of course, once stamps are clean, they need to be kept conditioned which is where a bottle of Stampin’ Mist comes in handy.  This stamp cleaner also contains a conditioning agent which helps prolong the life of stamps and protect them against cracking. You can use Stampin’ Mist with the Stampin’ Scrub or just apply with a soft cloth.

Sometimes the hardest part of stamping is the clean up… it’s made simple with the Simply Shammy and the Stampin’ Mist. What better gift than the gift of making something hard, a  little easier?
