It’s 12 weeks of Christmas Colour Challenge inspiration time again.

This week, I’ve pulled two of my favourite Christmas Cards from the archives as inspiration.

I just love the vintage look of these both cards.  Admittedly, I prefer the card on the right because the distressed edges and sponging add more depth and interest.  Other people prefer the cleaner look of the card on the left.  Both started with the same basic materials and layout. Of course, it uses two of my most used stamp sets: Lovely as a Tree and Hardwood. The Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Impressions embossing folder adds some great texture too.

But enough about the cards, let’s talk about the colour combination:
