Cupcakes are one of my favourite things.
What is better than a cupcake? A Glittery Cupcake of course! Nothing is quite as pretty as a cupcake that sparkles. I’m told that glitter makes everything better, even cupcakes.
So Sale-A-Bration ends tomorrow! (Where did the time go!) Despite my best intentions that I haven’t shared the many Sale-A-Brations projects I created and I’m fast running out of time! This time tomorrow, I’ll be en route to New Zealand to visit Steve’s family and attend Stampin’ Up!’s Onstage Live Event. (I haven’t even thought about packing yet!)
Because I’m running low on time, I’ll share with you just one of the projects created with the Hello Cupcake Stamp Set. The reason, I choose this project to share is because it features a great heat embossing technique that will add shimmer and sparkle. So even though the Hello Cupcake set is only available until tomorrow as a Sale-a-Bration reward, you can use the technique time and again.

How easy and pretty is that technique?
So so easy! And the more glitter to the clear embossing powder you add the more your project will sparkle. Don’t add too much though as the glitter needs the embossing powder to make it stick.
Since I filmed the video Stampin’ Up! released the limited time Sale-A-Bration Coordination products which includes the Call Me Cupcake dies which mean YOU don’t have to fussy cut the cupcake like I did.

The Stamparatus makes the whole process so much easier. Of course if you have the retired Stampin’ Up! Stamp-a-ma-jig or some other stamp positioning tool you can use that to line up your images.
If you wanted to you could just versamark the whole stamped image and cover the whole image with your DIY glittery embossing powder. That would look great too. I encourage you to play and experiment wih this technique, a little like I did in my video. If you want heat embossing techniques click here.
