I really love coffee!
But you all already know that from reading Chrissy Fact #3! Imagine my delight when I discovered a Fusion Card Making challenge that had a coffee theme. Might have done an excited happy dance! (I deny twerking !!!!)
Today, I’m taking the plunge and entering the Fusion Card Challenge (19 Sept). This challenge is fairly simple – you play along by creating a card based on
- Just the sketch OR
- Just the inspiration photo challenge OR
- create FUSION by combining BOTH challenges into one card.
Here’s the Fusion Coffee Challenge
My Fusion Card Challenge Entry
Entering a challenge is out of my comfort zone. I have only ever entered ONE creative challenge many years ago (it wasn’t a success). I have been looking for creative challenge to enter for some time. So when this Fusion Coffee Challenge came up, I thought it must be a sign! So I grabbed my new Cup of Christmas bundle and got to work!

As you can see I choose to create a fusion card by using the sketch (I flipped it) and coffee theme. What do you think?
Sadly, the photo does not show the silver foil detail on the real red cup, pool party scalloped lace or the white embossed background as well as I’d like but I’m racing against the clock to get this entry in. (I may have procrastinated over entering my creation… okay… I definitey procrastinated!!!)
The inside
Of course you can’t make a card and leave the inside naked. So I did some hinge stamping and added a whisper white embossed off cut, real red and a few extra die cuts for simple decoration.
So that’s my Fusion Card Challenge entry!

Pool Party and Real Red are a surpising Colour Combination. I love the Cherry Cobbler Striped Ribbon too. The Vanilla Lace Trim is pretty special too! Love that you can use your Stampin’ Blends to colour it any colour.
