Annual Catalogue Bundle of the Month – January 2024
This month I’ve nominated the Gorgeously Made Bundle as the annual catalogue of the month.
What’s the product of the month? And why am I doing this?
Well, some of you told me you are more than a little overwhelmed by all the wonderful products in both Stampin’ Up!’s 2023-2024 Annual Catalogue, the mini catalogues and online extras. For some, the overwhelm is so great that they don’t know where to start, or what to buy. So to help you out, I’ve decided to trial some product showcases. In these showcases, I’ll talk about a bundle and show you some projects from them.
Each month, I’ll pick products from the Annual Catalogue, mini catalogue, and maybe even the online extras and give you some ideas on how to use them. These items will be my nominated products of the month and I’ll feature them in my Facebook Lives, or tutorials.
I know this is something new, but if it helps you wade through the catalogue and find products you love to use then it’s worth trialling.
So enough chit chat, let’s get to it!
Gorgeously Made
When you turn to pages 102 & 103 of your 2023-2024 Annual Catalogue, you’ll see a riot of vibrant colours with gorgeous combinations of Azure Afternoon, Berry Burst, Fresh Freesia, Lemon-Lime Twist, Lost Lagoon, and Pretty Peacock. These samples show off the Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper really well, but, IMO the Gorgeous Made Bundle (stamp and dies) isn’t showcased fully.
At first glance, you might think the stamp is “ordinary” but let me reassure you when you start playing with it – the stamp set is anything BUT ordinary. And the dies are way more useful than they first appear.
Let’s talk gorgeously made stamps
I love that this stamp set is a red rubber cling set. High quality red rubber stamps provide crisp, well-defined images.
. The stamps are durable and sturdy and with a little care they will last forever (well not quite forever, but a really, really long time.)
The images include:
- two sprigs (or is it sprays) of leaves,
- a “wordy” image,
- spiral binding and
- three sentiments in a nice typed font.
So… the spiral binding image… I confess that I had no clue what this stamp was supposed to be. Someone had to tell me. Thankfully they told me AFTER I’d created a bunch of cards with it. My vision for it was backgrounds, stamped edges and highlights. I was so caught up in using it, that I never stopped to consider the designer’s intent, or the stamp’s purpose. It is just a cool versatile stamp!
. 😂
Gorgeously Made Dies
For me, the hero of this bundle are the dies! There are two foliage dies that can be cut down to make smaller foliage. The label die cuts can easily be made shorter using the same die. The remaining two dies are just a teeny bit fabulous, especially if you like creating junk journals and grunge or steam punk projects. There’s So much to love about the “torn” edge and the die that makes it looks as though your page was ripped from a spiral note book.
Are you ready to see the Gorgeously Made Bundle in action?
Great. Here’s a Facebook Live video I did last year showcasing the whole suite.
