You may have heard me mention that one of my favourite bundles in the annual catalogue is Sketched Butterflies. This month, I thought I’d share a few ways that I’ve used it. If you subscribe to my newsletter, yesterday you would have received your exclusive Sketched Butterflies tutorial. (If you don’t get my newsletter, you can subscribe using the box over on the right of this page)
Watercolour Sketched butterflies
Today’s card is a mix of watercolour techniques, heat embossing, and a little bit of grunge on a a layer of pretty pattern paper.
I choose to go with a Peach Pie and Misty moonlight colour scheme with some black, basic grey and white accents. On the Stampin’ Up! Colour Wheel Peach Pie and Misty Moonlight are opposite each other. This makes them complimentary colours. (If you haven’t seen the colour wheel, check out pages 134 and 135 of the 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue) They say that opposites attract and in this case ,Peach Pie and Misty Moonlight create a bold fun contrast.
To add some extra contrast to the beautiful Butterly, I added stamped images using the Of Art & Texture and Latte Love stamp sets. I’ve listed all the products I used on this card at the bottom of this post.
