If you have been following me for while, you may have seen I set a big goal to achieve to celebrate my 15th year with Stampin’ Up! The big goal was to earn my very first Stampin’ Up! incentive trip. To be honest, this goal was a huge step up from what I had done in previous years, and I was so uncertain that I would get even close, but I was determined to give it my best shot. Goal setting has never been my strong trait, I’m more of a “coast along” and “whatever happens, happens” person. so I knew it would be a massive challenge, but, nothing Ventured nothing gained right?
Update on incentive trip progress
This afternoon, six days before the deadline, I received an exciting message from Stampin’ Up! that said:
“Congratulations, you’ve completed all the requirements to qualify for the incentive trip! Once the reports are finalized, it will be official!” 🥳🎉🥂🍾
Yes you read that right!
I earned the Incentive trip!
So, my wonderful husband, Steve, and I will be heading to Disney World, Florida, in May 2025 for five nights with the other trip achievers. 🧳✈️ This is kinda a big deal as fewer than 1% of demonstrators worldwide earn this trip.
Right now, I am feeling grateful, shellshocked, exhausted, overwhelmed, happy and proud. It’s an absolute roller coaster of emotions.
One of the things about earning a trip is that until you aim for it, you really don’t know what is involved in earning it. On paper, the numbers and tasks look really straight forward, but they aren’t easy.(Nothing worthwhile ever is easy!) I knew that working towards this trip would have a big impact on my family, social life and potentially my health.
The hardest part was trying to balance everything, and not get dishearten when things didn’t go to plan. And some weeks, and even some months nothing, at all went according to plan – but I dusted myself off, made some adjustments and moved forward.
I’ll admit that I worried every day that I was asking too much of my small group of loyal customers, or that I may inadvertently put pressure on my team, The FlamInks. (I lost so many hours of sleep worry about these things!) The FlamInks were amazing, they encouraged each other, cheered me on and achieved their own personal goals. I’m so proud of them! And my customers, well, I am the luckiest woman on the planet that they chose me to be their Stampin’ Up! demonstrator!
Thank you
I am incredibly grateful to everyone who helped me reach this Big Hairy Audacious Goal—whether you shared my posts, referred customers, attended classes and events, joined my team, subscribed to my blog or newsletter, or purchased products. Everything you did helped. Your support has been both overwhelming and humbling. I appreciate you more than you can imagine.
Thank you once again. I think it will take a few days to recover from all this excitement. But if you need anything, please contact me.
Until next time… happy creating!
Chrissy xo
