Your Craft Room’s New Best Friend

I love colour but sometimes I need a little help working out what colours go together. If you’ve ever found yourself digging through your ink pads and card stock trying to find just the right shades that coordinate, you’re going to love this! I just posted a new video showing you how to create your own colour swatches — and trust me, it’s a total game-changer for your crafting.

In this short video 7 minute video, I walk you through a super simple way to make swatches using supplies you already have on hand. No special equipment, no stress — just an easy project that’ll make your creative life so much easier (and a lot prettier too!).

You’ll see:

  • How to use swatches to help you see at a glance what goes together
  • Tips for making your swatches practical and nice to look at
  • Why having swatches saves you time and boosts your creativity

The best part is that you can add to the swatches as you expand your collection of card stock and you can make swatches for any brand of card stock. Tip: make different swatch books for different brands so you don’t get confused.

If you live in the South Pacific here is a pdf list of all the colours that have been released here.

You can make your colour swatches any size you like. Personally I prefer to make my swatches either 2½”(6.35cm) or 2¾” (7cm) – The 7cm / 3¾” create less waste. But you can make them bigger or smaller.

If you love being organised (or even if you just wish you were more organised!), this is the perfect little project to tackle. You can check out the video here ➡️ https://youtu.be/D6mwD6AJQ5g.

So grab your card stock and paper trimmer and join me for a fun, crafty session. Trust me, your future self will thank you every time you sit down to create!

Until next time… happy creating!
