Every now and then, Stampin’ Up! announces a special sales challenge for demonstrators. When they revealed April’s challenge at OnStage, I prayed it wouldn’t be another “better your best” challenge—because honestly, my sales last April were stellar, and topping that would have been nearly impossible.
Well, my prayers were answered… but still my heart sank.
This month’s challenge? Sell an entire quarter’s worth of sales in just one month to earn a Stampin’ Up! branded pink tote bag. For me, that means selling $2806 (1800 csv) in April. 😳 (The higher your title, the higher the goal!)
I’ll be really honest with you—between seasonal depression (it hits like clockwork every year), prepping for the new catalogue, and making sure my business keeps running smoothly while I’m away in May/June, this April Sales Challenge felt overwhelming. The goal seemed so far out of reach that I started feeling discouraged.
As a leader, I always want to set a good example for my team which to me means doing my best and participating in whatever I can. So, I spent weeks strategising, trying to figure out how I could make it happen. And then this morning, I had a realization:
💡 I am making myself sick over a tote bag!
Now, don’t get me wrong—I LOVE a good Stampin’ Up! tote (and it’s pink, so hello FOMO!). But did I really NEED another one? As much as it pains me to say it “No! I do not need another branded tote”. (I can’t believe I admitted that!) And stressing myself out over it wasn’t helping me or my team. Part of being a good leader is knowing your limitations.
So, to keep my sanity and sense of well-being, I’m setting my own personal challenge instead.
My personal April Sales Challenge
Target: 35 orders of $35 during April 🎯
Why $35? Because:
