Day 13 – A Bonus Colour Combination of Christmas

Surprise! I’m back with a bonus colour combination — because I simply couldn’t stop at twelve. If you know me at all, you’ll know there was no way I could run a Christmas colour series without including something bright, bold and a little unexpected.

Welcome to Day 13 of our Colour Combinations of Christmas.

Today’s Colour Combination

12 Colour Combinations of Christmas 2025

Bonus Combo

This is a wonderfully non-traditional Christmas colour combination. Bright pink and turquoise aren’t typical festive choices, but when they’re grounded with Shaded Spruce and balanced with crisp Basic White, the result feels modern, playful and intentional.

The Inspiration Photo

Today’s inspiration image features a bright pink glazed donut, a delicate turquoise china cup and saucer, and a deep green spruce tree softly blurred in the background. It’s colourful, slightly quirky and impossible not to smile at — which made it perfect inspiration for this project.

My Project

Not only did I take colour inspiration from the photo, I leaned right into the donuts and coffee theme too. Because let’s be honest — Christmas crafting is better with caffeine and sweet treats involved.

This card is definitely non-traditional, but it still feels festive thanks to the strong green of the cup and the scattered candy canes. I had so much fun colouring this one and letting the Melon Mambo and Coastal Cabana really shine.

You might notice I’ve used both silver and gold heat embossing here. Why choose one metallic when you can use two? The embossing adds enough shine that extra embellishments weren’t needed.

And yes — Shimmery White Embossing Paste made another appearance, creating the perfect “cream” topping for the coffee and adding soft texture to the design.

Why This Works

This card works because of contrast. Shaded Spruce does the heavy lifting as the Christmas cue, while the bright pinks and blues add personality. Clean white space and strong layering keep the design from feeling chaotic.

It’s festive, fun and just a little cheeky — exactly the kind of card people remember.

Until next time… happy creating.
