It’s Day 6 of our 12 Colour Combinations of Christmas 2025 edition… and I’m so glad you’ve come back! We’re officially at the halfway point. It was so hard to choose just 12 festive combinations—I have way more than that tucked away!

You’ve probably noticed that all the projects I’ve shared so far are quite different. It’s an eclectic mix (well… I am the Creative Eclectic 🤭). I really wanted to showcase the range of projects you can create with colour alone. My hope is that somewhere in this collection you’ll spot a card you just have to CASE, or a colour combination that “speaks” to you and sparks your next creation.

The colours

Yesterday I promised some regal, luxe colours… so today’s inspiration is a peacock feather wreath.

In years gone by, peacock feathers were a symbol of luxury and status—the regal classes used them to display their wealth. They’re filled with deep jewel tones, much like Pretty Peacock and Secret Sea, and those cool contrasts are just magical together.

But what if we used this royal combination a little differently to what is expected?

Let’s take a look

Today’s project is a variation of one of our September Christmas Class cards—a design that was incredibly popular.

Project details

It may be a no-stamping project, but wow, was there a lot of faux water colouring happening! We used the retiring Stampin’ Write Markers to create artistic blends on the watercolour paper die cuts. (Yes… there is an extra colour or two… I added some Pecan Pie and Early Espresso on the deer, trunk and branches.)

And this time, instead of using a Pretty Peacock base like we did in class, I swapped it out for Secret Sea… and voilà! It transforms the entire look into something cooler, more regal, and undeniably luxe.

And thank goodness for the Greetings for You Mix & Match Ephemera Pack (which, by the way, is on the Last Chance List—so definitely stock up before they disappear!). These sticker-style pieces made the whole project come together beautifully. I finished it with some retired gold twine from my stash. This was one of those messy but fun to create cards.

What’s next?

Stay tuned for Day 7—soft blues and a product I often forget on my shelf—coming your way tomorrow. It’s a surprisingly calming combo you won’t want to miss.
