Day 8: 12 Colour Combinations of Christmas 2025

Welcome to Day 8 of our 12 Colour Combinations of Christmas. Today’s palette is warm, cosy, and deliciously festive.

Our inspiration photo features a cheeky gingerbread man surrounded by Kraft paper–wrapped gifts, all tied up with Cherry Cobbler red ribbon. It’s classic Christmas with a handmade, homespun feel.

This colour combination was tweaked by my lovely Florida friend, Bethany Barnard of Stamping in the Barnyard. She’s right pecan pie is so much more Christmassy than Crumb Cake.

My project is a stand-up card that feels extra special without being complicated. Gold heat embossing adds instant elegance, while the gingerbread cookies-in-a-jar image brings the fun. This is one of those colour combos that feels timeless and works beautifully for both cards and gift packaging.
