Hi crafty friends! Happy Easter Thursday 🐣💛
So… let’s have a little Coffee, Cake & Cards catch-up!
As many of you know, the new owners of Sip & Spice Café have decided they’re no longer able to host our monthly Coffee, Cake & Cards sessions. (Rude… but we’ll survive 😅)
Since then, I’ve been on a mission to find a new venue that ticks all the boxes:
✅ local with lots of parking and public transport options
✅ indoors and air-conditioned (because… Queensland) 🥵
✅ big enough for our group (around 16–25 people)
✅ serves good coffee
✅ AND cake worthy of our creative efforts ☕🍰
And let me tell you… finding a place that meets all those requirements has been harder than finding a matching envelope for a handmade card 😂
Thank you so much for all your suggestions — you’ve been amazing! Unfortunately, most venues nearby just aren’t quite big enough for our merry little crafty crew… or their cake and coffee isn’t at the standard that you’d expect..

And honestly… it feels like we’ve come full circle 💛
Because Coffee, Cake & Cards actually started at Algester Sports Club… with just four of us sitting around a table crafting away! How far we’ve come 🥹✨
So let’s see if we can fill that table a little more than we did back then! 😄
At this stage they haven’t been able to offer us a coffee & cake “deal” yet… but I’m crossing everything crossable 🤞🤞🤞
Now for the slightly serious part…
As many of you know, Stampin’ Up! increases product prices each year, and they’ve announced more price rises coming in May. For at least the past three years, I haven’t passed on any product or café increases to you. I also haven’t charged for my prep time, teaching time, or the years of experience that go into planning these classes — because I’ve always wanted to keep it affordable and accessible.
But sadly, I can’t keep absorbing the rising costs anymore.
💛 From Wednesday 8th April, Coffee, Cake & Cards will be $25.
This will cover:
✅ all your class materials – no need to bring a thing
✅ your refreshments (currently averaging around $15.95)
✅ my travel costs
I know for some people this $10 increase is significant, and I’m genuinely sorry. Please know this wasn’t an easy decision — but it’s the only way to keep Coffee, Cake & Cards going (and I really don’t want to lose our monthly crafty catch-ups!).
