No-Fuss, quick creating!

As much as I LOVE creating intricate and complex cards, sometimes you just need to make something simple and quick with limited stamping and with a few scraps, and that’s exactly what today’s Spooky Spiders card is.

Last week my friend, Vickie dropped in for a chat, and she gifted me some die-cut shapes from her creative session using the  Halloween Magic Dies. Among the spooky shapes were three die-cut spooky spiders. (All spiders are spooky!)  As soon as I saw them, I knew exactly how to use them. So I grabbed my supplies and got to work!

Here’s my Spooky Spider Card:

Spooky Spiders are a huge part of Halloween and they are the feature of this quickly made cute spooky spiders card.

Spooky enough for you?

This card is simple card making at it’s finest!  (And it’s great for using up scraps too.)

Now if you had the Hallows Night Magic stamp set you could stamp the spiders to make them more spooky. But it’s perfectly okay just to use die-cut shapes that haven’t been stamped.

Did you notice the spiders on the background Designer Series Paper?  Those arty arachnids look suspiciously like redback spiders to me. The paper is from the Magic In This Night Designer Series Paper pack.  What I LURVE about this pack is that there are so many non-Halloween designs so you can use it for other projects. (PSSST: Right now this gorgeous paper is on sale as part of Stampin’ Up!’s October 2020 Designer Series Paper sale – so you can save 15% on this and other selected papers until the end of October.)

How about that gorgeous band of ribbon behind those squares?

It looks like a delicate spider web glistening in the early morning sun.  Take a closer look:

The stamp set I used for the heat embossed sentiment is Itty Bitty Greetings. I love how so many of the sentiments in this set are exactly the right height to be used with the Classic Label punch.
Here’s Everything you’ll need to recreate this at home

Of course, you will also need a small clear block or your stamparatus to stamp the words with but I’m sure you’ve got one of those lying around. I just cut the squares using my paper trimmer but feel free to use your layering squares or stitched shapes dies or even those retired square punches that are in your stash.  Do whatever is easiest for you.

Oh, I almost forgot… if you buy the Halloween Magic Dies as part of the Hallows Night Bundle or Magic in This Night Suite you save 10% on the bundled dies and stamps.   The ribbon and paper used in this project are all part of the Magic in This Night Suite too.  Here’s what’s in the suite:

There’s so much to love about that suite – just look at that label die! It is beautiful and a great size. Then there’s the ribbon, black glittery cardstock (never have too much glitter cardstock), and those embellishments.  I stupidly bought everything but the stamp set and dies only to fall in love with them and want them now. What a silly goose!

Enough about my silliness here’s another  look at my spooky spiders
