Stampin’ Up! Scrapbooking Range is coming…
When I first started with Stampin’ Up! they had a fabulous range of scrapbooking products, but card making was their passion. so slowly Stampin’ Up!’s scrapbooking kits were discontinued. Other companies like Close To My Heart did scrapbooking really well. There were also lots of bricks and mortar scrapbook stores where you could go and do classes and spend hours pursuing products. At the time, it probably made good business sense for Stampin’ Up! to concentrate on what they are great at – coordinated products, stamps, inks and card stock.
Fast Forward to 2024, CTMH decided to close and there are very few scrapbook stores left.
BUT it’s not all bad news…Since welcoming former Close To My Heart® Makers into our community, Stampin’ Up! has been working hard to prepare traditional 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) scrapbooking products to add to their product offering. .They’re hired former CTMH designers to develop this range. Finger crossed we will explore these new products together in September/October… so very soon.
Personally, I’m really excited about Stampin’ Up!’s return to scrapbooking. I was a scrapbooker long before I was a card maker, and I can’t wait to explore this creative outlet again, as I missed the memory keeping. Today, I dusted off my old scrapbooking magazines and books in preparation for using these new products.
If scrapbooking is something you’d like to explore, or you’re interested in “crops” (scrapbooking events). contact me as I will be adding these to my event calendar from the end of September.
Until next time… Happy creating!
