In my previous post, I talked about 10 ways to earn bonus day coupons this month featuring just a few ideas from the annual catalogue. Of course, there are so many other combinations that you could use to earn those coupons to spend in August. Today, it’s all about products from the Online Exclusives range.
What are online exclusives ?
Three times a year Stampin’ Up! releases a collection of products in their online store called Online Exclusives. You won’t find them in a current catalogue. Basically, these products are available until they run out. It might be in a month, a few months or even a year or two. (Note: some of these items may have been available in previous catalogues, or they may transition into future catalogues.)
Also in the Online Exclusives are things that Stampin’ Up! anticipates will be around for a very long time like certain tools such as accessories for die cutting machines, dies or everyone’s favourite , the Wink of Stella Brush! Each month Stampin’ also adds new crafting kits to the online exclusives collection. Items in this collection be ordered by placing an order with me or via my online store.
This month, Stampin’ Up! released a whole heap of new products in their online exclusives range and many of them are “holiday themed” – so if you celebrate Christmas, Halloween or Thanksgiving, there is something in this collection for you.
Part of the reason Stampin’ Up! releases the online exclusives is there is just not enough room in their catalogues for everything. If every product was in the annual catalogue it would be too heavy to post. It’s also an opportunity to introduce new seasonal products to us throughout the year and do some product testing. It keeps us interested too.
I don’t know about you but I love the anticipation of waiting for new products to come out. Six times a year, I get to “gush” over new products either in the Online Exclusives or new catalogues and get inspired by all the new possibilities.
Earn Bonus Day Coupons with Online Exclusives
Like my previous post, Im going to suggest what to buy this month and budget friendly options to buy next month either from online exclusives or the annual catalogue that will enhance the usability your first purchase further… sound okay?
1. This Month: Iconic Celebrations Suite Collection… Next Month: Frosted Forest Stamp Set
It’s the time of year that I start to think about Christmas Crafting, are you the same? I know between now and the end of October or November, and even into early December, I’ll be creating Christmas Themed projects, and a LOT of them! So I considered what products would get me through to Christmas and beyond.
In my previous post, I didn’t mention any of the suites because even though I LOVE suites, they are at a high price point and may not be in everyone’s budget. The Iconic Celebrations Suite Collection is the least expensive suite in the Stampin’ up! range right now at $119AUD, AND it comes with not only a stamp set and coordinating dies but with patterned paper, ribbon and embellishments. If you are starting to craft for Christmas this suite makes it easy as it has what you need.
The suite has a four great label dies, leaves and hearts that can be used all year round, and a big “celebrate” stamp. To compliment this suite, I chose the Frosted Forest Stamp Set. Frosted Forest does come in a bundle with dies and masks(stencils) but you can get away with just the stamps. (Remember I’m doing friendly budget suggestions.)
One of my mentors told me that “Everyone needs a great all purpose tree stamp in their collection“, and I totally agree. Trees can be used on Christmas Cards, for autumn (fall) and Thanksgiving, to build scenes or on birthday or sympathy cards. The trees in the Frosted Forest set tick all the boxes and the some of the sentiments would fit the dies from the Iconic Celebrations Suite.
2. This Month: Stampin’ Glass Mat Studio… Next Month: Blending Brushes or Embossing Paste & Palette Knives
This month Stampin’ Up! released a brand new tool called the The Stampin’ Glass Mat Studio. The heavy-duty glass mat comes printed with a ruler and grid lines for easy measuring, while the large surface space gives ample room for spreading out while paper crafting. If you like messy paper crafting techniques then this safety-tempered glass mat is for you. It has a heat and scratch resistant surface that wipes clean with the included reusable cloth and water. The cloth also cleans ink off your stamps! The nonslip, heat resistant, and waterproof silicone mat features four palette squares for mixing custom ink colours or for holding small ink spots in place while crafting. Each component can be used separately or you can use all three items together for a multipurpose paper crafting studio. There are so many techniques you can use with this glass mat.
To get the most of out of the glass mat, I recommend that next month you purchase either the blending brushes or the Embossing paste with the palette knives. You can use these products with stencils or on their own to add.a little extra to your projects.
3. This month: Frosted Forest Bundle… Next month: Shimmery White Embossing Paste & Palette Knives
Every well curated stamp collection needs a great tree stamp set and the Frosted Forest bundle with dies and masks (stencils) certainly fits the bill. The stand out feature of this bundle is the masks (stencils) which make colouring these trees a breeze! To take your trees to another level redeem your bonus days coupons for shimmery white embossing paste and palette knives.
4. This Month: Greeting of the Season Bundle… Next Month: Encircled in Nature dies
As we start to create for the festive season, it’s great to have a variety of good festive sentiments for your projects. Greetings of the Season Bundle has a good selection go different labels that you can die cut. What it is missing is foliage to set up the sentiments. So I suggest redeeming you bonus day coupons for the Encircled in Nature dies (it also comes in a bundle with a stamp set) to add some delicate embellishments to your sentiments. This will “dress up your sentiment labels beautifully.
5. This month: Changing Leaves Bundle… Next Month: Softly Said
The Changing Leaves Bundle features a hybrid embossing folder which means you can cut and emboss at the same time, saving heaps of precious time when you’re creating a batch of cards. I love that you can use the dies for either the stamps or the embossing folder, and you can emboss stamped die cut images too. These leaves are perfect for the floating frame technique too. You can use the embossing folder without the dies to make a great background. I often use leaves on my masculine themed cards so this bundle would help with your Father’s Day crafting too.
To expand the uses for this bundle, I suggest redeeming your Bonus Days Coupon towards a great sentiment stamp set, like Softly Said. The bonus is that you can use this stamp set with so many other stamp sets, dies and papers in the Stampin’ Up! collection. The big words are eye-catching so you can create a quick simple card without too much fuss.
Online Exclusives Suites
With so many great products available in the online exclusives, I found it difficult to restrict my recommendations to just five. Other products that deserve an honourable mention to maximise your bonus day earning potential are the four currently available Online Exclusive Suite Collections:
I suggest ordering them with other essentials such as Thick Basic White Card stock, c6 white envelopes, Multipurpose liquid glue, Stampin’ Dimensionals or other adhesive to bring your order to the closet $90. (your calculator is your best friend during the bonus days promotion.) Next month I’d redeem your coupons for embossing folders to give your projects more texture. It’s a amazing what a difference enhancing your patterned paper with an embossing folder makes.
Now you’ve got some suggestions, I hope it is easier to place an order. If you have any questions about my suggestions or Bonus Days please contact me.
Until next time… happy creating!
