Happy Tuesday everyone!

This morning I was feeling miserable and meh. You know that stage of the dreaded “lurgy” where everything feels like hard work? It feels like day 20… even though it’s really only day 7. I was fed up, low energy, and generally unimpressed with every thing.

And then… plot twist.

Stampin’ Up! quietly released the Standing Clipboard Trio to coordinate with this month’s new kits.

Why I’m So Excited About Standing Clipboards

If you’ve been around here for a while, you’ll know I have a soft spot for mixed media and off-the-page projects. There’s something deeply satisfying about taking an everyday object and turning it into something extraordinary — an objet d’art, if we’re feeling fancy (or French!).

These aren’t just clipboards.

They’re blank canvases with commitment issues.

They can be painted, inked, layered, distressed, stamped, splattered and completely reimagined. Add texture paste, ribbon, torn paper and ephemera. Go clean and simple or full creative chaos. They hold the possibility of becoming a feature piece in your craft room, office or home — not just something that “holds” art, but something that is art.

What’s Included in the Standing Clipboard Trio

The kit includes three woodgrain-finish easel clipboards:

1 Small clipboard – 4-3/4″ x 6-3/4″ (12.1 x 17.2 cm)
2 Large clipboards – 6″ x 8″ (15.2 x 20.3 cm)

Each clipboard comes fully assembled with a sturdy backing and kickstand, making them perfect for displaying:

Projects from the coordinating kits

They feature a natural wood-style finish that looks lovely as is, or can be completely transformed with paint, inks, papers, texture and embellishments if you’re feeling creatively brave.

These clipboards complement the newly released Radiant Reminders and Every Little Thing Kits (sold separately), but honestly? They’re far too versatile to be limited to just that.

At $44 AUD for the trio, the price point is a little higher than I’d ideally like if I were running a mixed media class around them.

But.
