Shark Week with a Twist Continues
Yesterday, I shared a super cute Shark Frenzy creation (here’s the link if you missed the blog). Today’s creation is a fun Valentine’s card for my husband. Yes, it’s that time of year that we need to be talking about Valentine’s Day! (It’s in just 22 days). This year I was determined not to be making Valentine’s cards at the last minute!

Shark Frenzy inspiration
I was inspired by a project made by Robin Cardon, My Pink Stamper (see her creation here.) Of course, I changed the colors and embossed background, added some extra layers (waves), more stamping, and an embossed die-cut hat. I’ve included all the supplies at the end of the post.
Take a closer look
Look at the silver foil embossed hat – I ran it through the die-cutting machine in the Subtle embossing folder then turned it around on a 45degree angle and ran it through again to get a criss-cross detail – a bit like the weave on a straw hat. At the time, I used the die for the flowery hat as I didn’t see the other hat die in the bundle. I think it looks a bit like a fancy fishing hat.
I really like how silver foil looks embossed with the Seabed 3d embossing folder. This embossing folder creates a perfect ocean-themed background for this shark,
If you look closely, you can also see the stamped Bermuda Bay bubbles on the waves. This little bit of added detail creates more interest. To be honest, I meant to sponge the edges of each of the waves to create more depth. Oh well, next time.
